Short biography of John Lennon

John Lennon was born, October 1940, during a German Air Raid in maternity hospital in Oxford Street, London.During his childhood, saw little of his father, Freddie, who went AWOL while serving in the Navy. For several years, John was led by sister Mimi his mother.

In its early years, John was a mischievous students, they would be ready to take the Micky out of teachers and other students. whilst early in his teens he had his first guitar and spend many hours of gameplay. his Aunt Mimi, regularly said:

"The guitar of all very well, John, but you will never make a living out of it."

After, the Beatles were famous John presented Mimi with a plate off of this.

The late fifties rock John formed a group called the quarry Men Skiffle Band. This was the forerunner of the Beatles. in 1957 he met and formed a successful partnership with Paul McCartney music. They complemented each other very well.Lennon focus more satirical and McCartney went towards the qualities most optimistic allegre. Lennon was regarded as the leader of the Beatles, because of his age and also his musical skills. Was, however, that convince Lennon McCartney so George Harrison enter the band as lead guitarist.

The first Beatles concert was at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, 21 March 1961. After being rejected by many music labels, have finally signed an agreement with Parlophone in 1962. During the great success of the Beatles, during the 1960s John Lennon would often figureheads for the group, though, have maintained that the decisions of the Group were democratic.

John Lennon was no stranger to controversy. In the early 1960s, he made an off the cuff remarks on Jesus that landed the Group on a swamp of controversy. John Lennon said that "the Beatles were more popular than Jesus Christ."He argued that this was a simple observation, that was probably true in England.However, led to a boycott among Christians of the deep South.There was also a wave of record burnings, although Lennon wryly noted that to burn them to buy them in the first place.

John Lennon Solo Career

In 1969, the Beatles had started to split up, was John Lennon, who was the main factor behind this.After 1970 John Lennon has created a career, often with the help of his second wife Yoko Ono.In the early 1970s John Lennon also became a prominent figure in the anti war movement. his song "Give Peace a Chance" has become an anthem for the anti-war movement. due to its war anti position the Nixon Administration has tried to have him deported, but after a long struggle he was able to get a green card in 1976. his song "Imagine" has also become a highly influential song; it was voted most popular song by the British public.

John Lennon was killed in 1980, by David Chapman-a fan obsessed. death shocked the world, music that is not music.
