The candles are for Lennon

John Lennon would have turned 69 years old this week. I.e., if he was not shot dead by a fan of dementia. Commemoration of the sixtieth birthday, Julian Lennon, son of John, with plans of Mike Mayor of Liverpool, has organized a campaign of lighting a candle. This unit not only symbolizes birthday of former Beatle, but more about promotion on humanitarian issues.

You may remember that Lennon career began in the 1960s, while he was performing in clubs in Liverpool and Hamburg. For three years, the group then five members Beatles carved slowly the name in the music scene. The five became four because the original bassist, Stuart Sutcliffe, who died from brain hemorrhage. It was in 1962, when he formed the Quartet of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. Later that year, the Group impeccable achieved their first success in the United Kingdom with their song "Love Me". And as they say, the rest is history.

The English band all became a worldwide phenomenon by writing songs really wonderful, great music and chart-topping sales record after another. Apart from their music, the Beatles became icons of fashion trend setter and became also social influence. Until this day, the Beatles is still considered one of the most successful bands and well known of all time.

But all great things must come to an end. After the record album and concerts around the world, ended Beatlemania. Controversy has to do with it and the now infamous line of Lennon, saying that "the Beatles is more popular than Jesus" has come to a stop. Since 1970, the Quartet ex officially disbanded as everyone has released the solo albums.

Ten years later, the front-man and music-genius John Lennon was shot and killed in New York.

And after almost two decades since the Beatles has taken the world by storm, their music and influence lives. And to mark another giveaway in the name of John Lennon is the campaign of candle light. With his music as big as his legacy, humanitarian and peace promotion should be easy. Light a candle and say a little prayer for him and for peace on this planet.

Candle Light can symbolize many things. This week, offer the organic candles, soy candles and candles also virtual in honor of the birthday of John Lennon. Keep the fire burning and not just imagine a world in peace. Rather, take part in achieving the objectives. Shouldn't be hard.

The night that was killed Lennon

For me it was a Monday night like any other, on which I vividly recall being home watching a football game (of the American variety) on ABC's Monday Night Football between the Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots and though I do not remember the exact time I know it must have been close to midnight on the 8th of December, 1980. This given the fact that the game was late in to the 4th quarter with the Patriots winning by seven points though the Dolphins, lead by their young quarterback Woodley were heading for what would be a touchdown to send the game in to overtime. It was while the Dolphins were driving up field late in the 4th quarter that Howard Cossell, announced that John Lennon, a name which in all frankness I had never even heard of till that moment; me being 13 at time had been shot while leaving his apartment building, "The Dakota". The Dakota being a building located on the Westside of Central Park on 72nd Street in Manhattan and not far from where I was living at the time with my mother between 81st and 82nd street on Lexington avenue.

I at the time had no idea who John Lennon was though it was announced that he had been a member of a band which had been known as "The Beatles". This a name which I had often heard but never taken any particular interest in along with many other names such as "The Rolling Stones" or "The Who" or "Led Zeppelin". I Naturally at the time wished that this man's life could be saved as I would have done so concerning anybody's life regardless of weather they were famous or otherwise.

I however checked with my grandmother, who was in New York and staying with us at the time if she knew who Lennon was, for above all I knew my grandmother to be a classical music fan and not much of one when it came to pop music or rock music or however one wishes to classify it as. My grandmother, who at the time was 76 actually surprised me by telling me she not only knew who he was, but that she had been to a Beatles concert back in 65 when they played in "Shea Stadium" (then home of the NY Jets and Mets and the place where I saw "The Rolling Stones" in concert in 1989) located in Queens in front of 66,000 people; this being the biggest rock concert at the time. After hearing about my grandmother's experience if one could call it such with not only Lennon but "The Beatles", I told her that John Lennon, had been shot though nothing else was known about it at the time.

I can't say that my grandmother was particularly grief stricken to hear the news though like myself, she never desired to hear that hurt had been caused to anybody so with her words of "I hope he does not die" I left her to go back to my room to continue watching Monday Night Football. As for the game, it actually ended in a draw, which given the rules of American football meant there would have to be sudden death overtime; and this was precisely what I was watching when Cossell announced that Lennon unfortunately had died from gunshot wounds received earlier that evening. It was then that I ran back to tell my grandmother, who I could see was saddened much in the way she had been when Elvis Presley died as her statement "It's a shame, that people feel they have to do such things to one another" indicated.

As for myself, I naturally was saddened by this news but I must say not in a way that was different from any other time when I had heard of tragedy occurring; such as a plane crash or earthquake or something which had been responsible for the loss of life. Regarding the game itself; it finished with the Miami Dolphins winning in overtime. This making me feel just a little better since they were the team I was actually pulling for.

I can not say the death of Lennon personally meant much to me at the time since I practically knew nothing about him; not that it would have made any difference to me if I had since I am not one to mourn the deaths of those whom I do not know personally. As I had for instance the death of my own grandfather, who incidentally had also died in the month of December in the year of 1975. Lennon's death however did help to augment my curiosity in learning about him much in the way Mercury's death 11 years later increased my nephews curiosity to find out as much as he could about Queen.

I however will never forget the week that followed which in many ways reminded me of the time following Elvis Presley's death; this given the fact that John Lennon's demise was also all over the media, from the newspapers to the TV stations (though not CNN or MTV, as neither had gone on air yet) to the radio stations. It being a case where the last of these could not seem to get enough of playing his songs, weather as a solo artist or while still a member of "The Beatles". It was songs such as "Imagine", "Come Together", "Starting Over" and many others which were among those played but I mention these in particular, given the reason that they were the only ones I knew even if I had been previously unaware that they were Lennon's. "Starting Over" however stuck in my mind for another reason apart from it being the one that had been receiving heavy radio play in the time leading up to Lennon's death, as it was the one my brother-in-law used to wake me one morning when I was sleeping over at his apartment. This I will never forget, it was early Saturday morning and I had spent the night sleeping on the sofa in my sister's living room when all of a sudden I hear, the sound of bells. These bells literally blasting out of the stereo next to me, in what was the introduction to the song "Starting Over".

Actually during the months that lead up to Lennon's death, I had been listening to the radio, just about everyday as I did my homework and found out that I actually enjoyed not only some of the songs, (some only after having heard them many times over) but even the commercials and general atmosphere of radio stations such as ABC and NBC. Regarding radio stations however I particularly recall two DJs by the names of Don Imus and Howard Stern, who caught my attention, specially since they did a morning show which was also promoted by a TV commercial showing people saying "I love "Imus in the morning" ". It was also during this time that I for the first time in my life become familiar with some of the popular songs of the day such as "Another One Bites The Dust" (Queen), "I Love A Rainy Night" (Eddie Rabbit), "Emotional Rescue" (The Rolling Stones), "I Love You More Then I Can I Say" (Leo Sawyer) and many others. Therefore by the time of Lennon's death I had become more familiar with pop music than I ever had which perhaps lead to me taking a bigger interest then I would have if it had happened before the fall of 1980 in which I received my first radio with a built in cassette player.

With regards to TV stations, many took to playing films in which The Beatles had stared in such as "A Hard Day's Night" and "Help" along with many a documentary about not only John Lennon's music (both as a solo artist and a member of "The Beatles") but his personal life. Much of it I noticed concentrated on his personal life, politics and what had been his marriage to Yoko Ono. There is one moment however in all the week that followed the death of John Lennon which will never leave my memory and it came on the first Saturday after his murder; when during the half time of a football game I was watching, the city of New York held a ten minute silence in Lennon's honor. This being even more amazing when one takes in to consideration how when John Paul I died only 1 minute of silence was kept and not even by the whole city of New York. After all Popes, their will be many, even if one rather shaky theory says the world will end after a couple have died, but Lennon in his branch of music like Wagner in his will only be but once.

Looking back it is really incredible to think how John Lennon's death in a way helped bring back popularity not only to The Beatles but that whole era that had been the first British invasion that brought along such bands as The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, and many others. It was as if rock and roll were being given a boost, as many people like myself who had not been either Lennon or Beatles fans suddenly become more interested in this sort of music. I for my part can imagine this is what occurred last year when Pavarotti died; that many people who unlike me were not opera fans for the short time that followed Pavarotti's death became interested in opera. Perhaps even going out and getting a Pavarotti CD or DVD much like people did with Lennon, shortly after his death. Naturally at the time of Lennon's death, there was neither of which as only albums and cassettes were available but I think most people who read this get my general meaning.

By the time of Lennon's death, Rock and Roll however had had many death's in its family which had gained publicity such as Brian Jones 69, Jimi Hendrix 70, Janis Joplin 70, Jim Morrison 71, Keith Moon 78 (who died in the same hotel room as Mama Cass), John Bonham 80, Bon Scot 80, Ellen Naomi Cohen 74 (a.k.a. Cass Eliot) but baring Elvis's death none had received any where near the same amount of media attention. All of which making it clear what had been Lennon's contribution to his gender of music which I must admit is not my favorite as I am one to follow classical music and opera though not to the extent that I am blinded to the quality of other different genders of music. This being the case though I am reminded of something I once heard some one say to Edward Van Halen (guitar player for the group that bears his last name) on MTV which was "music isn't Rock and Roll or Heavy Metal or this kind or that kind but good or bad" only to have Van Halen reply "No, music isn't good or bad, it's something you like or don't like". This comment by Edward Van Halen being the way I see music as opposed to being good or bad, though I must say that I do like some of the music I heard in the field that is rock music that includes many others apart from The Beatles and Elvis Presley.

With regards to John Lennon's death it really was not till Farrokh Bulsara (a.k.a. Freddie Mercury) died on November, 24 that any death in or out of music received so much of the media's attention. This being the case with regards to media attention though perhaps a lot of the coverage received by Mercury was due to the fact that his death was caused by AIDS, which was an even bigger worry at the time then it is today. I for my own do remember feeling some sadness over the death of the "quiet Beatle" George Harrison, who died of Cancer on November 29, 2001, though news of his death was in part drowned out by the events of September. 11 which were still in the media.

The aftermath of Lennon's death I would say brought about a return to rock music which had in recent years been cast aside perhaps by the "disco fever" that erupted after the film "Saturday Night Fever". It was as if Lennon's demise did for Rock and Roll what The Beatles had done for it so many years back in 1964, when they first appeared on the Ed Sullivan show. Rock and Roll was fashionable again and as for me? I can not in all honesty claim to have found in it what I have in classical music and opera (I, being the author of the book "New York's Opera Society") though I did find something of value in it as I have with many other kinds of music. I could even say that it was that time period which followed Lennon's death that inspired me to listen to many a variety of rock band and even attend concerts by Styx, AC/DC, Deep Purple, Rod Steward, Iron Maiden (on two occasions), Pearl Jam, David Lee Roth, Ian Gillan and The Rolling Stones.

My name is Gianni Truvianni, I am an author who writes with the simple aim of sharing his ideas, thoughts and so much more of what I am with those who are interested in perhaps reading something new. As for the details regarding my life I would say that there is nothing that lifts them above the ordinary. I was born in New York City in 1967 on May 21st and am presently living in Warsaw, Poland where I wrote my first book "New York's Opera Society" now Available on Amazon.

The Beatles ' revolver-a revolution in 1966

The context

It was August 1966. Only 2 and half years since the Beatles first broke onto the scene in the United States with "I Want To Hold Your Hand" and the hysteria accompanying ("Beatlemania.") Since then the Beatles music had is rapidly evolving from their previous pop rock in a rock art more sophisticated.

Rubber Soul

Their latest album was Rubber Soul, which was released in December of ' 65. While these days just 8 months between album release is a short period of time, in those days it was considered a reasonably long time to wait for the world's greatest band to release their next album. Rubber Soul itself was a major step forward from the album before (help!) Included the first use of the instrument on a pop record the Indian sitar ("Norwegian Wood") and is also characterized by texts more introspective (as in "Nowhere Man" and "In My Life") which generally were granted a hearing on their previous albums.

Revolver

While Rubber Soul was a big step forward, revolver was sonically a leap forward. The track more far-sighted was naturally the album closer, "Tomorrow Never Knows" that still sounds like future 42 years later. I'll watch that song more in depth at the end of this article.

While Rubber Soul "Norwegian Wood", which had some sitar on it, "Love You To the revolver" was something else entirely. This song by George Harrison based entirely on Indian instruments that seemed totally unlike anything the listeners of music pop of the time he had ever heard before. In fact, I bet that sounds totally unlike anything more listeners of today's pop music has ever felt too (unless of course you've heard revolver or Sgt Pepper.) "Love" certainly broadened horizons for what might seem a pop record. But it was far from being only about it in this album.

"Eleanor Rigby" features a Quartet of arcs and voice of Paul McCartney. With the poetic texts and unique accommodation, it remains as a classic in popular music today.

"Yellow Submarine" is a song childlike, written by Paul McCartney and sung by Ringo Starr that went on to inspire the characteristic of cartoon of the same name, released in 1968. Is really a strange song, isn't it? This was a great example of Beatles just completely ignoring the rules for which must be the type of songs on an album of folk music.

"I'm only Sleeping" functionality of George Harrison's backwards guitar. I don't know if this is the first song pop to include back the guitar, but it is probably one of the first. Harrison learned to play the melody you want backwards so when inverted you would fit well with the song. Just another example of the Beatles push the envelope in the Studio with their regime.

"Tomorrow Never Knows"

While there are many amazing discoveries in this album, it was said that every song on the album inspired a new genre of sub of rock music, which is "Tomorrow Never Knows" that really stands out as a piece of ground breaking. Surprisingly enough, this was the first song recorded for the album (in April 1966, John Lennon wrote in January of ' 66.)

All about this song by texts is the song writing at its disposal for the production was very experimental. The vocals were laid through a Leslie speaker to get a vibrato effect. This was the first time that such an effect was used. The texts are based on The Psychedelic Experience from Timothy Leary (and that the book was based on the Tibetan Book of the dead). The song featured very inventive use of tape loops, reverse reverse drums, guitar and many more sonic explorations. Another unusual on the song is that the song is almost entirely played on a rope. This was probably influenced by Indian music, which often is played so.

Take time to appreciate life around you

If you think that every day is a great day test go without one. ~ Jim Evans

We pass by unexpected wonders every day. More our concerns distract, is harder to notice these wonders. We live in a time of growing concern for the money, investments and possessions. What will become of us?

Writing these words reminds me of how I felt about life in 1965. For many people that year was like many others, nothing special. For me it was like jumping off a cliff, feel the wind quickly from my face, and I have no idea where he would land.

I had just left a monastic existence. repaired Each meal appeared before me at the time appointed. I have not had any wallet or bank account, much less money and not care. Survival, basic needs and make a living never interested me.

Now the survival seemed my challenge. Within days, I realized that I had lost my religious deferment. Wait for me were the border of the project and the prospect of bringing a pistol in Viet Nam, rather than a rosary in the cloister.

Panic seized me quickly and I hit my lack of viability of the square in front. While I was writing in the previous paragraph, my radio started playing Imagine by John Lennon. While the fear expressed in all our news surround us as an angry sea, the possibilities suggested by John Lennon bob in the ocean, ready for us to reach out and grab them.

Now they are in uncharted waters as I was in 1965. Still afraid not sticking to me. I can see, hear, taste, smell and touch the wonders of life. How is this possible?

Our world is not terminated. Is simply changing. Time to get all they want is coming to an end. The old American dream is now clearly a fantasy, at least for the foreseeable future. Our hypothesis on the endless riches are rapidly disappearing.

Some people are likely to continue having much more than the others will be zero to survive and they need. Perhaps our current crises are a challenge to our nation. Maybe it's time to reassess our priorities.

It may be possible for us to think about each other as part of a community of care rather than competitors to be beaten while we grasp what we want? Some people already live in this way. Perhaps you, or know someone who does. What would the world be if we all had as much concern for each other as we do for ourselves?

John Lennon does not offer any formulas or quick solutions. He invited us to imagine what the world might be like if we mutually treated differently. Perhaps it would make us all good to turn a blind eye to our fears if only for a moment, be thankful for what we have and use our imaginations for what could be.

Lab life lessons

As you are Thankful for your luck?
Attention to the good things that come your way.
Try writing what makes grateful every morning.
Let your imagination out play at least for a while.
Find a place for imagination in your daily life.

Thomas Edison made the first recording of a human voice on December 6, 1877, but he did not record a singer. The first great singer to be recorded was Enrico Caruso, and he made over 250 sound recordings. There may have been singers prior to Caruso who were even better virtuosos but we have no way of knowing that because sound recording is the definitive judge of a singer's ability. In recording studios, it has often been said that "tape don't lie". Even the best recording engineers cannot make a good singer sound like a great singer. Skipping briefly through the jazz era, a few great singers who deserve honorable mention are Billy Holiday, Al Jolson, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby and Tony Bennett. The concept of what constitutes a great singer is subjective, but the key qualities a great singer must possess are range, timing, phrasing, pitch, timbre, emotional impact and originality of style.

Elvis Presley was the first great rock and roll singer. His first hit record in 1954 entitled That's All Right was a blues song written by Arthur Crudup and it proved that Elvis had a unique quality in his voice. Songs like Jailhouse Rock and All Shook Up demonstrated that Elvis was the epitome of rock and roll, and songs like Are You Lonesome Tonight and Can't Help Falling in Love showed the world that Elvis could put the emotion of love into a vocal track with intense male sexuality. With one of his last blazing bursts of energy in 1972, Elvis proved that he was still a hunk-a hunk-a Burning Love during his twilight years. Elvis can be credited for breaking down the racial barrier that existed for black singers within the record companies in the 1950's. Little Richard said, "He was an integrator. Elvis was a blessing. They wouldn't let black music through. He opened the door for black music." Elvis opened many doors. He let Pandora out of her box and girls all over the country began to scream at the very sight of Elvis. Much has been written about the King of Rock and Roll and his impact on our culture, but the focus of this article is on a unique vocal quality that has not received attention. Elvis pioneered many instantly memorable vocal mannerisms that shall hereinafter be collectively referred to as the rock and roll vocal schtick. It is possible that Elvis picked up his vocal schtick from Otis Blackwell, the songwriter who wrote many of Elvis' early hit records, because Otis sang his original songs on the demos that Elvis listened to and Otis originated much of the phrasing that Elvis recorded. But much water has passed under the bridge since those days and we may never know whether the Memphis chicken's schtick preceded the Otis egg.

The word "schtick" is derived from a Yiddish word and it refers to various bits of business that cause an entertainer to be instantly memorable. Prior to Elvis introducing the concept into rock and roll, it was very common in the movie business for actors to achieve fame by virtue of their schtick. Jack Benny became notorious for being stingy and a bad violin player even though in real life, he tipped lavishly and he was an expert violin player. Groucho Marx had his stooped strutting, his lascivious eyebrow raising, and his cigar. Elvis had his gyrating hips and his out of control, shaking leg, but he also put a new kind of mannerism into his singing. On All Shook Up, he turned "Mm mm mm, oh oh oh, yeah yeah yeah!" into a memorable chorus, predating the Beatles famous yeah yeah yeah's by about 10 years. Predating Elvis by four years, Fats Domino had already developed his signature vocal style by the time he hit the R & B charts in 1950 with The Fat Man which sold over a million copies. One year after Elvis opened the door with That's All Right, Fats crossed over into the mainstream with Ain't That a Shame in 1955, and soon millions of people found their threeee-ill on Blueberry heeee-ill. That there is rock and roll vocal schtick in a nutshell, and countless singers picked right up on the groove.

In the 1950's, original vocal styles literally oozed out of the radio every day. Tony Williams, the lead singer for The Platters, was a truly great singer who had it all - range, timing, phrasing, pitch, timbre, emotional impact and originality of style. As a professionally trained singer, Tony was able to express the emotional essence of previously recorded songs like Smoke Gets in Your Eyes with professional style and grace, but he also influenced the new rock and roll vocal style. In the number one selling hit record, Only You, Tony could have sung the words "Only you can make this change in me" using straightforward and traditional phrasing, but instead he sung "cand-a make this change in me" and threw in a bit of schtick. Marty Robbins and Ben E. King were also two seminal rock and roll singers who embodied all the qualities that define a great singer.

There were many other outstanding singers during the 1950's but the most sublime singer of them all was Smokey Robinson. In addition to every other quality previously discussed, Smokey sang complex blues melismas as if God told him the secret and said "Smokey, you will make everybody think this is easy." Nobody can sing like Smokey Robinson, nobody can duplicate his vocals, and when Linda Ronstadt recorded her version of Ooh Baby Baby, she had to white out his melismas because she had too much sense to even try to duplicate him. Buddy Holly, among his many achievements, may be credited for introducing the hiccup into rock and roll vocals (fantastic schtick). But the award for Most Outrageous Rock and Roll Schtick of All Time goes to Little Richard for "a wop-bop-a-loo-mop alop-bam-boom" and his earth shaking, high pitched woo's that Paul McCartney duplicated with enormous commercial success. Other great primal rock and roll singers of the 1950's who deserve Most Honorable Mention include Roy Orbison, Brenda Lee, Del Shannon, Jimmy Jones, Frankie Valli, and the list goes on and on.

The great singers of rock and roll peaked during the 1960's and 1970's with John Lennon and Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Jim Morrison, and Janis Joplin. Robert Plant's 12 year career with Led Zeppelin began with the band's formation in 1968 and continued until John Bonham's death in 1980. That fatal day may have been the turning point in the history of great rock and roll singers because even though some very good singers achieved fame and success after 1980, none are in the same exalted league with the Great Ones. Discussing each of the great singers could generate an entire article for each one of them, but suffice it to say that history has already passed judgment on them and declared their venerable status. In terms of the key vocal qualities defined in the first paragraph of this page, Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin must also receive honorable mention. But in terms of the sheer number of hit records and brilliant vocals that incorporate all the qualities of a world class singer, Paul McCartney is arguably the best rock and roll singer of all time. It's always nice to end a treatise with a provocative pronouncement like that one, and then to immediately disappear into oblivion before anyone can throw a tomato.

Music by John Lennon

Born under the name John Winston Lennon on October 9, 1940 in Liverpool, England, most of his childhood was spent with the family of his aunt, Mimi Smith. Music and guitar has become the favorite of John and his mother, Julia Stanley, gave him a guitar. Unfortunately, my aunt was not so favourable to this hobby. But John continues his hobby with the establishment of The Quarrymen, a band was the forerunner of the Beatles.

The musical career of John in The Beatles ' is full of fight first band became famous and legendary. Their music repeatedly rejected by the Studio until you have accepted in one of the studies EMI. Since the Beatles created many songs that are very popular among the British society. The turning point was when the Beatles penetrate the American market with the song "I want to hold your hand". This success has continued until the Beatles disbanded in 1970, largely because of the feud between their staff.

Finally, John has taken a solo career and the music composed by him received yet for music lovers worldwide. One of the most memorable songs is "Imagine", which at that moment became an anthem for peace movements and still remember this song until now. Unfortunately, John career and life stopped when one of his fans fanatics shot and caused the death of a legend.

Although John had died decades ago, but the music and his fans still remain. And today, we congratulate the 70th anniversary of John Lennon, we love you again John!

The beat goes on "by the Beatles

The Beatles, a band whose beginning occurred almost 50 years ago, are still relevant today. Starting in Liverpool, England, in 1960, with members Paul McCartney and Pete Best, John Lennon, George Harrison, the band creates a compelling audio with youth appeal incomparably. How caught fire their fame, best was replaced by drummer Ringo Starr and the rest, as they say, is history.

Brilliant, pop melodies, sweet, simple texts and engaging harmonies that defined the band that first forays into the limelight, with boys sport stylish bob hairdos and matching overalls, thin, gave way to riff rock harder, deeper, more introspective prose and hippie clothes and hairstyles, times. Important topic in their songs transcended by girls and puppy love guru, Yogi and psychedelia. Their music has evolved, explore various genres and their lives moved and edited, finally drifted apart. Each of the members of the internationally acclaimed band conducted to find their own ways individual success in later years 1970 the band split.

Paul McCartney (b. 18 June 1942) has proven to be the most successful entrepreneur, although after the tragic passing of his wife and partner, Linda McCartney Eastman, some suggest the fantastic way has displayed consistently in professional matters was not always well exercised in his Kingdom. Ringo Starr (born Richard Starkey, b. 7 July 1940) was probably the least heard in years post-Beatles, although he too hit a pretty respectable achievement continues. The late George Harrison (February 25, 1943-November 29, 2001) was extremely prolific, with his music and created blow after blow, both as a solo artist and also in stunning collaborations with friends who have demonstrated how fantastically talented as Harrison itself. With Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, Harrison Traveling Wilburys put out a handful of fascinating late 80s hits. John Lennon (1940-1980) was never far from the public eye, as he and his spouse Yoko Ono seemed always to be engaged in some sort of Act of news-worthy or protest until an insane gunman entered into life the famous Beatles ', just two months after his fortieth birthday.

Today, oh so many years later, we still find modern musicians, emulating the Beatles ' style. Current groups strive to match the magical quality of band's harmonies early. The site just one recent example, the Group of Melbourne, Australia «Jet» has been hitting the airwaves since 2003 with a sound that is more often distinctly Beatles-esque. Fashion have even turned full circle (at least once, maybe twice) with young sportsmen skinny pants again, leg-hugging that were popular back in the Beatles ' first days.

Dare we guess that, no matter how many decades can pass, inheriting the Beatles ' will continue long after the remaining members of the Group increased from this earth, and after the last girls screaming that once cried while watching them in concert he left our world. John, Paul, George and Ringo will live on in the memories of their music and bands that continue to find inspiration in indelible notes that the Beatles have left us.

The Beatles Hey Jude strikes a chord 30 years after

Most people are not familiar with the history of the origin of the Beatles Hey Jude. John Lennon, prior to his relationship with Yoko Ono, had married to Cynthia Lennon. After meeting and having an affair with Yoko, John and Cynthia has divorced. Their son, Julian, was only 5 years, at the time, and Paul McCartney was concerned with how he would be able to deal with sudden separation. Being close to the family, went to visit the mother and the son of a couple of weeks after divorce became final, and on the road we started to compose a song that he thought he could comfort Julian. Originally titled ' Jules ne ', the song touched Cynthia, who was surprised by how McCartney cared for their well-being. Young Julian never made the connection that was originally ' Jules ' ' Jude ' and not discover that the Beatles Hey Jude was written for him almost 20 years later.

Curiously, John Lennon thought that the song was actually written to comfort him! He heard a similarity between the trade name of Judah and its own name and under the circumstances, who found himself in that period of time, asked McCartney if indeed had to be on him. McCartney, protection of Giuliano and Cynthia, said simply to John who sang about himself.

' Hey Jude ' was one of the most unlikely Beatles hits, due to the fact that it was quite long. In 1968, the year that the song was released, radio is not accustomed to playing songs that lasted more than 3 minutes. Due to a gradient style very, very long time, the Beatles Hey Jude lasted more than 7 minutes. Initially by listening to the record, some critics at the time felt that McCartney had written the song as a satire of using fadeouts at the end of a song, but it really wasn't the case. The outro included an orchestra of 36 and painstakingly was registered in accordance with the instructions of McCartney.

The first release on new records of Beatles-owned by Apple, ' Hey Jude ' spent 2 weeks at number 1 in the United Kingdom but managed an astonishing Kingdom of 9 weeks atop the American charts. ' Hey Jude ' held the distinction of being the longest number 1 unique in English until 1993, when it was usurped by Meat Loaf and its rebirth of epic rock.

The curse of music legends

Among my friends on MySpace are four sons of Bob Marley, a son of John Lennon and a daughter of Nat King Cole. What is becoming clear to me is that neither of these rich, rich of talented children and will never "legends" as their fathers, no matter how hard they work and how desperately wanting to make your name. They will always be hovering just above the sea of mediocrity despite being judged every step from the fame of their father. Dad will always be hanging like a sweet scent to remind them of their position. Right in the entire history of legends, children seem able to bask in their glory and assigns a path clear your success as a succession of Royal birth. But they don't seem able to improve on the contribution of the father or replace them in their success. And I think that knowing what could be kept some of them.

Bob Marley had 13 children, all of them share a huge inheritance from their father that grows inexorably each year, with an average of $ 7 million per year, with him, being the most famous reggae artist on Earth. The children enjoyed the music studio where they can do anything ever since they were teenagers. The result is that four have emerged as real talents: Damian Marley (that is likened unto his father and is affectionately called ' Junior Gong '), with his style pop Stephen, democracy, KY-mani and Ziggy, music Crown all different in their musical rendition and all eagerly competitors wear Marley. Damian certainly looks like his father, but is Ziggy that sounds like him.

Too Close for comfort

Ziggy is the oldest with a voice cracked and should have eclipsed its centuries of brothers ago. However, while he has a solid fan base, one can sense that he is not regarded exciting as others, as he is not mentioned as often. Alas, Ziggy Marley might not realize this, but he suffers from the same problem as Julian Lennon-both sounds too much like their fathers and create some dissonance in conflict in their listeners. Both listen to them sing and you get goosepimples their voices heard. But the public who do not like much. Is too close for comfort without giving the original article.

In reality, the public has an ambivalent attitude towards these children. Would give something Marley or Lennon back and secretly hope that the offspring may continue to provide in the same vein. But when oblige, they maybe sound too much like dad, which confuses the audience and irritates them instead. The end result is that their dad wasn't so legendary, their voices would make its impact. But how can we best Bob Marley or John Lennon voice and style? It is impossible, it is better to build your own style, which Damiano and KY-mani, in particular, seem to have managed to do. Yet, in true form competitive, children will always imitate or beat their parents and those famous are even more.

As a King, Bob Marley has left a great legacy to her children. They are like gods and principles for supporters who, mainly through the magical name of Marley. However, are more difficult to fight for their place in the world of music most mortals minor. While their money can give them most of what they want, the name of Marley will only carry them so far before discovering that a millstone could be for them. After all, is given a head start by their father, they will never be sure if they would have made it without that famous name. All Marleys have their own little dynasties, each competition only now fiercely for that elusive musical legacy. But the Crown of Marley final will never be them because the impact of their father is too strong. Just look at MySpace and it is clear, by the choices of members, that boys are not really competing against each other. In reality are competing against their father, who is still very much in the running. No contest there. In essence we love children and are fascinated by them, they represent a part of the old, but is the dad that we really want and, worse, we use to judge their actions.

Basking in the Shadows

Natasha Cole is no different. No matter how talented you, just like Nancy Sinatra, they will always be hanging behind their famous fathers, Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra. Being too women, they are expected to almost to remain in the background, basking in the shadow of Dad, true success be perpetually elusive for them. Never should measure up. Unlike Julian Lennon and the guys at Marley, are perceived differently. Are women, are good, but that's it. Are they shouldn't exceed their fathers. Their aspirations and talent, I have never seen to be in competition with their dad at all, even though the legacy he assured them some success.

The trouble with all those brothers and their dad legendary was that children shouldn't really make something spectacular, because their fathers have already achieved immortality.

The curse of legendary father becoming a prophecy, inevitably ensures that there is only a legend from each family. Everyone who follows, no matter how great their talent, it will always only short of perfection and delivered the footnotes of history.

The worst album of the Beatles-Yellow Submarine & with the Beatles

The Beatles two worst albums are Yellow Submarine 1969 & with The Beatles. These short reviews of these two less than stellar record should explain why.

Yellow Submarine isn't really much of an "album" of Beatles because when it was released in 1969 (to coincide with the release of the new film comic that shares the same name) included only four new Beatles songs. That's not even enough for a EP, let alone a LP!

"album" was stuffed with previously released two songs ("All You Need Is Love" and "Yellow Submarine") and a bunch of instrumental soundtrack to George Martin that can hardly be called Beatles songs.

The four new tracks included two songs really good ("it's all too" & "Hey Bulldog!") that I think are actually two underappreciated the Beatles songs, because they were stuck in relative obscurity (Beatles standards) of this album lame that rarely hear even the biggest fans of the Beatles.

The other two new songs were "All Together now" and "Only a Northern Song" which are definitely among the best work of the band.

With the Beatles was second album The Beatles and lacks the energy of their debut album Please Please Me and lack the great songs of all their albums that came after it.

This means that I'm saying that he had good songs? No, certainly not. Had the hit single "All My Loving" and lead decent track "it won't be Long." But the steps are pretty thin after those two.

"All I've got to do" and "Hold Me Tight" have their "Beatles first" fascinates but I don't think are pretty good as original songs of the Beatles For Sale (which is underestimated.)

What really hurts this album cover art. They're pretty excruciatingly boring in my opinion. Although I must admit that I kind of enjoy "Till There Was You."

As "Be peace"

I'm late in wishing you a Merry Christmas. I did not wish to you a happy new year. Why?

Because I haven't got the words to say something that you haven't already heard, until now. The desire for good intentioned for 2009 and sweet trivial messages just weren't strong enough in some way.

Can I be late but that's what I want to share with you today and send to you with its deep appreciation for being here, that I know you can make a difference, I know that ye know that too and I believe in your greatness.

"Merry Christmas-War Is Over" John Lennon tempted we wake up, so did Gandhi, so did the 12 years when you started rebelling against those in power and so did achieve 16 years to express who really did, who you are yet.

This is the time. The "step" is coming, the "new era" is not on the horizon, is here. The time has come, the Sun has dawned on this new day and there are those with eyes to see and ears to hear.

It's easy to be wrong. It may be tempted to relinquish power without realizing.

Cannot wait for "father" solve the problem, for the Government to take measures, to Barack Obama save us, expect "someone to do something" for God, for moving and make everything OK.

The time is now, you have the power. Is she, we, we, the people.

There are those that we have been waiting for.

It's time to stop looking for solutions outside of ourselves and blaming others for our problems. Now is the time for each of us and for all of us with one voice to sing the song of peace, love and courage.

She lifted the veil of illusion, and woke up.

But in our misty eyed awakening the sense that we "don't know how" to almost convince us we are still sleeping.

Is not the only way. Are you awake! Do you have it in you now, today, by housewife for school teacher to the Executive the student to be the change you wish to see and express who you are with love and peace.

Marianne Williamson says in the 1960s, we had the right message ... but where everything did it go? What happened? Why is only ... is dead? We hope, that the release, where did it go? You literally dead with the revolutionaries, when they were shot down and the fear of death stopped us struggle for freedom and closed us alll. That fear arrested us sing the song of our souls. We weren't enough land in our world to make a difference, we mixed the message of peace and love with drugs and physical love and somehow everyone just boom fizzled.

But now things are different. We know that we can no longer wait. That the fear of death is secondary. that fear that we might die or get hurt or be dismissed or considered crazy has been misused by a fear stronger, one even more disturbing-that we might die without ever speaking our greatest truth, without ever having lived our real potential and was the ultimate expression of what we might be.

The fear that one day will be able to watch a nephew in the eye and the sense that we would have th most to ensure its future was a peaceful, healthy and loving in a secure environment. The fear that we let you down, which is fear itself is worth to listen to. Forget what you may think of people or say about you, leave their judgment come, invite, welcome you. You know that you're your music and live your art when it was criticised. You should now be detached from that opinion, good or bad, of the other and put your focus on greater purpose, a greater significance.

Then make peace with your life, your partner, your self. Put a sign of peace in your window. In the words of John Lennon-we sell peace. We have to think about peace while we wash the dishes, imagine peace while we sweep floors, breathe peace and drink peace. We must eat peace, work, love and making love peace for peace.

Forgive yourself and those around you. Co-conceive peace on Earth. Born a new era for his niece and nephew. We join together as peaceful loving people that realize our power and make a difference.

"So this is Christmas-And what did? Another year on ... A new Just Begun "

You probably can guess my new years resolution. I hope this helps to re-examine your and move forward into the future with joy and peace in your heart.

Love,
Katharine x

Sending you like at the moment and eternally,
Katharine

Beatles Remastered-past master volumes one and two

The Beatles ' "past Masters series is an album and includes all their singles that were not released on their studio albums. The Beatles released only individual who were also on the Studio album, a few times; were not in the habit of doing it. That is why the series of masters of the past is a double album with a lot of great material on it. Past master 1 includes all materials since 1963 (Please Please Me) until 1965 (Guide). Past master 2 includes all materials since 1965 (Rubber Soul) until they disbanded in 1970 (Let It Be).

1 past master is really dated material, and is basically that the Beatles mop top period. Has everything to Love Me Do and From Me To You-I Feel Fine and they're down. All sound of remastered songs so much better. The song From Me To You sounds completely different, now that it is remastered. For me it was She Loves you and I Wanna Hold your hand that were two of the first songs that I heard from way back when Beatles. This was the Beatlemania to its height. The original, the guitar parts were almost and not as easy to distinguish as they are on the remastered and separated. All sounds were there the original versions, but is not so clear.

The only song I can recall that it was sung by another group and sounded better was that I ask for your name. Was the Mama and Papas with Mama Cass Elliot singing only bring a few years after the Beatles originally recorded.

Past master 2 is much better than an album compared to volume 1. Has everything to their period Rubber Soul-Let It Be. You start with the double-side single Day Tripper/we can Work It Out. These songs are the first songs that the Beatles did that I consider some of my favorites. Day Tripper has a really great guitar and sound and We Can Work It Out has one of my favorite chorus lines. The harmony that Lennon and McCartney have during the chorus is beautiful. The next single sided double-a is Paperback Writer/Clear. Paperback writer is a really great song and sounds very much like their music on their album adjacent, revolver. Rain is a completely revolutionary song which is, in my opinion. It doesn't seem to their other music up to that point. At the end of the song is played back, the choir and psychedelic sounds really.

Ringo I heard that he thought that this was his best work (rain). Ringo was a really elegant musician.

McCartney and Lennon are naturally write song monsters that not even from their era.

Volume 2 is also the anthem Hey Jude; one of the greatest songs of all time. This song was written for John Lennon's son Julian from Paul McCartney and John Lennon and mother Giuliano were always divorced. McCartney tried to cheer the Julian up with this song, although Lennon thought sometimes was directed towards him. Hey Jude is one of my favorite songs of all time and a song that is on top of the best lists of songs around the world. Throughout the universe, The Ballad of John and Yoko are also great songs on this album. This album also sounds very clearly remastered. All songs sound as though I have just been registered this year, not forty years ago.

Imagine that there is no heaven ...

Most of us have heard singing the famous song "Imagine"-John Lennon her second hit as an ex-Beatle. I heard that this morning and continues to work and over in my head.

"Imagine not that there's no heaven."

OK, let's play. We imagine that there is no heaven. What then? It would be still a Christian? Let's face it, signed most of us because we don't want to go to hell. In most cases, someone has submitted to us a "safeguard clause", as set out for us exactly how we might avoid "the wages of sin" that we all have deserved, the eternal torment of hell. Our interest has been raised. We have recited a prayer or are baptized, skipped through some hoops Confessionals and-BAM! -in an instant, we were heaven bound!

But what if there were no heaven? It would be signed?

Years ago, I heard a tape of a preacher named Jesse Duplantis. If I remember the theme, I remember that she was screaming and yelling and the preaching of a storm on this tape, while I laugh. Then, said a few words that I'll never forget. In a soft, delicate tone, in a whisper near uttered, "Jesus Christ wants to be a real person in your life."

At first, I was offended. "Of course Jesus is a real person in my life ..." So I was in prey with the cold reality that was not more real to me by Davy Crocket or George Washington or any other historical figure. Was the kid at Christmas and the individual resurrected at Easter ... but was not true for me.

A few years later, I heard a preacher named j. Vernon McGee on radio. Once again, I have heard of the reality of Jesus Christ and how he wants to be as real to us as the closest friend or spouse.

We fall in love with Jesus in the same way that we fall in love with any other person, i.e., spend our time with them. Actually, it was said that "love ' must be typed and t-I-M-.

When he was only 10 years before I met my beloved Barbara, people occasionally ask when I was getting married. Reply, "I'm married ...I'm married to Jesus! " An old from Barbados once told me that, when he met his wife, he KNEW was that for him, because as he said, "we were in love with the same person."

Speaking of my wife, Barbara, I knew it was the one for me to our first appointment. I've actually never asked to marry me. Both we just knew that God wanted to tandem. What gave away? We weren't in need! We were complete, only in our relationship with Jesus. Yet, somehow, we knew that would be stronger set of over ... just the three of us (a threefold cord is not easily broken, Etc 4: 12).

Over the years, I've lost my enthusiasm for the sky. I find myself rarely speak or think that much more, not sure how I did that as a Christian girl. I learned to understand what Paul meant when he wrote, "to live is Christ, to die is gain." In other words, if they killed him, he should get to be with Jesus. If they let him live, well ... he could get to be with Jesus! "Killing me and I am the King; Allow me to live and I'll build his Kingdom. What does Satan with people like that?

Truth is that the world is full of people, people who stay without fear of persecution, happy to know that the Lord has promised us would be days like this. I speak with some believers of this calibre and, frankly, is encouraging. I am not in this for heaven's sake; are in it because they love Jesus and love his people.

Hard times Are the way to come? Jesus said: "in this world you will have many problems, but I have overcome the world be comforted" (Jn 16: 33)

You know the overcome one? Means to know him really? There's an intimacy of relationship that grows daily between you two? Do you want to be a Christian (literally "a small Christ") if there was no promise of heaven?

I am convinced that the sky is a mirror image of the Earth. After all, Jesus himself taught his disciples, "thy will be done, on Earth as in heaven." He did not do or say anything, unless his heavenly father has given directive. I'm inclined to say: "is the natural, so is spiritual." We have many wars on the planet now, because there are wars going into the realm of spirit. We have many orphaned children of the planet, why the Church can't "father" of those entering the Kingdom. America's obesity problem is the result of being spiritually fat and lazy. You get the picture, I'm sure. Even the Bible amplified version of Matthew 18: 18-a verse often wrongly and misapplied by many of those who teach that the sky takes his orders from us-quotes Jesus as saying, "truly I say to you, whatever prohibit and claim to be improper and unlawful on Earth must be what is already banned in heaven, and whatever permission and declare correct and lawful on Earth must be what already is allowed in heaven". There are the reflection of what's happening on n the sky; NOT the image-maker.

When he sang Lennon, "Imagine there is no heaven ... is easy if you try," he is woefully wrong. Psalm 19: 1 tell us, "the heavens declare the glory of God ..." It would be very difficult to deny something so glaringly obvious. In fact, Romans 1: 20 says, "for the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so they are without excuse: "

No excuse? Sorry, Mr Lennon. The 8 December 1980, was murdered in cold blood by a deranged fan. As regards its belief in the sky, sure he is singing a different song today.

When I was Minister of youth and a pastor of the Church of the College, one thing that often encountered was the complete lack of sincerity displayed by many of the boys. Have loved the social aspects of a Christian. Visit of parks, attend concerts, having fellowship, wearing the t-shirt-these were all testimonies very superficial a relationship with Christ. When came the tests and trials, many kids impossible, even turning their backs on Christianity, all together.

If you want to know the truth, the same exists among adults. Trails will arrive. Everything will be tested, including Jesus himself (remember her encounter with Satan; desert He was led there by the Holy Spirit, we are told).

These tests you will pass? If Christianity is probably not everyone on the sky and onto Jesus, not all.
Don't fret. You get to take the test later.

Every blessing,

Michael Tummillo

The Beatles-The Fab Four from Liverpool

The Beatles were one of the most famous rock and pop groups in history. "Fab Four", as the Beatles were called, were from Liverpool, England. Most of the songs by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. George Harrison has played guitar and Ringo Starr played drums. Over the last 50 years the Beatles have sold over one billion records and CDs. They had more number one hits than any other British pop group.

In the late 1950s, John Lennon formed a group called the Quarrymen ". Until 1960 have changed their names a few times but finally called the Beatles. Initially the Beatles were influenced by American rock and roll musicians like Chuck Berry and Elvis Presley. In 1961, owner of a record store Liverpool, Brian Epstein, became their manager. The first hit single "love Me Do became an immediate success. Adolescents all England went crazy when they saw and heard the new stars, not only because of the music, but because of their personality and the new hairstyle.

In 1964 the Beatles Tour of the USA for the first time. A TV appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show legendary, one of the most popular TV show at that time, made them stars at once. Thousands of young Americans went to concerts and mass panic broke out the Beatles appeared everywhere. Beatlemania was born.

In mid-1960s the Beatles started changing their music. Became more poetic, melodica and significant. Lennon and McCartney began writing lyrics to many of the problems of society. The Beatles also began to experiment with electronic music and other tools. In 1966 they played their last concert and concentrated on making music in the Studio.

Although the second part of the 1960s has been very successful and the Beatles released a number of hit singles, including Hey Jude, Let It Be or Get Back, the members of the band started to quarrel and pursue their own interests. In 1970 they finally broke after 8 years of success. All the Beatles began his solo career: John Lennon sang with his wife Yoko Ono, Paul McCartney has started a new band called the wings. George Harrison and Ringo Starr also began to sing alone.

Fans around the world called for a reunion of the "Fab Four" but when John Lennon was shot to death by a fanatical outside his apartment in New York in 1980 the world knew that the Beatles would never play together again. George Harrison had died of cancer in 2001.

Even if their active career lasted only for a short time the legendary Beatles you still live in the hearts of millions of fans of pop music in the world.

The beginning of the end for the Beatles?

While trying not to engage openly John and Yoko, Paul said "The White album ... is the album of tension. Never before had we recorded with beds in studio and people visiting for hours on end, sales meetings and all that. There was a lot of friction. Was the experience weirdest because we were to break; that in itself was tense. Shotton said "recording sessions for The Beatles ' had turned into a very serious dour operation a far cry from party atmosphere that had surrounded the creation of Sgt. Peppers" (Beatlesongs).

So, Giovanni considerably heightened tension in group bringing Yoko in studio. "Her presence clearly increased tension in the ratio of musicians. Ono stumbled on this atmosphere with the naïve belief that she and Lennon now were employees "(Kozinn). Reply by John would have had to leave his home, and get off drugs, such as heroin, which had created a personality of roller coasters. Meanwhile, had suffered a contribution music by John. Ironically, many of the songs written for "The White Album" had come when the Beatles were with the Maharishi and John with still with his wife, Cynthia, at the time.

Paul continued to try to provide leadership and his music has risen to new heights. While John had thirteen songs by Paolo eleven, most of the highlights of the album were from Paul, for example "Back in the USSR," where he also played the drums, "Blackbird", "Rocky raccoon" and "Helter Skelter." Capacity range of Paul was still evident from the quiet elegance of "Blackbird" for the raucous "Helter Skelter". John had "Happiness is a Warm Gun" and "Sexy Sadie" among its strengths, but the harsh reality of her condition was front and Center with "# 9." It wasn't really a song but a tape loop editing music put together by John and Yoko.

Origins of Beatles songs-Or are they?

There are so many myths about the Beatles songs, the most famous is that Lucy in the Sky with diamonds "is inspired by the LSD. Spot so the true history, below.

Lonely Hearts Club of Sgt. Pepper was inspired by a composer called Major Mace (Mace as pepe is a spice).

Ticket to Ride was inspired by a trip to Ryde on the Isle of Wight taken by Stuart Sutcliffe in the 1940s, which has been said by John Lennon.

Revolution was not about the war, was the new dish desk Wurlitzer jukeboxes, that by their represen in pubs and discos, was told to revolutionize how you listen to music. "Peace by offering" referred not to have your music in a pub, a people's campaign at the time.

Hard day's Night was appointed due to confusion about whether it was from Ringo day or night.

The song of rain was actually a reference encoded Lorraine silver, a Northern Soul singer in style.

In a day in the life of which holes to fill the line Albert Hall concert bad especially that Paul McCartney had seen as a kid, when none of the Orchestra were in harmony.

Eleanor Rigby refers to Eleonora in help, Eleanor Brogue.

The land of yellow submarine submarines which refers to an upcoming trip to Bolivia that the Beatles were pleased.

Hey Bulldog! was created for the death of Winston Churchill, Winston, being the second name of John Lennon.

The song "come together" refers not to ' yes ' but a ' sheep '-noting a field where John Lennon used to satisfy his real mother who had a sheep in it.

Phew, that make up this entries is harder than it looks! The true is the fourth one down. Lorraine of silver was a member of the singers Northern Soul and was Eleanor Bron, not Brogue that have inspired Eleanor Rigby. John Winston Lennon never fall as a middle name, but write a song about him probably going too far.

The Beatles-How They Got their name

It was June 1960 and was on the road, touring England as poet beat giving readings of poetry by a background of rock music. I called missile. I was in Liverpool to give a show and went to Jacaranda, a coffee bar, to try and some musicians to back to me. I got to talk about a guy with a jolt of long hair and a style matelot stripe t-shirt. His name was George, he said. When I told him that I was in Liverpool to execute my poem to music rock marched me off at 3 Gambier terrace.

And this is where I met John Lennon, as one of the bodies lying on the floor of a room where the lights were wrapped in red garza to give it a mysterious glow and towels and clothes partitioned room and beds. John, who weren't returned to long to play with Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Stuart Sutcliffe Johnny Gentle shoulder his Scottish tour, was intrigued by the presence in his mat a genuine poet beatnik, who had been on television.

I stayed for a few days, sleeping on the floor with assorted guests at la terrazza Gambier flat, meeting friends of John and George best known, as Paul and Stuart. John and I talked a lot. He badgered me with questions about the world of pop music and the life that led us to London as if it was a different world. And it was. My performance poetry society at the University of Liverpool was part of "an afternoon of poetry" the Friday, June 24, 1960 with a further session of "A reading of poetry music Beat" for the next day. John, more than others, was thrilled with the idea of performing poetry to a background of music beat. Suggested that I should try it at Jacaranda while his group supported me.

Seemed to work well and we spent half the night then discussing excitedly as we could do together. I said that I would take John and his friends in London to appear on television with me. I asked John what was the name of his group. Told me. "Like magic?" I asked. "(B), And double, T, W, E, S," said surprise for my ignorance. It was then that I suggested that John must specify the name with an "a".

I reminded him that--as was going to play with me and I was a poet Beat writing a book on the scene Big Beat, and he was a musician beat and liked the beats of the USA--the Beatles would be a big spelling. They never got to London to back to me. John sent me a message saying that they had a reservation in Hamburg and I would love to go with them as a kind of poetry and presenter? I refused, why survivors: a former poet beat (who now live in Sri Lanka). There's more about it in my book, The Big Beat Scene, just republished fifty years after I gave the Beatles on their behalf.

Royston Ellis, author of over 60 biographies, books and travel guides, now lives in Australia after leaving England, where he started as a poet beat, in 1961, age 20, travel for a living. His latest book, The Big Beat Scene, has just been published by music mentor books, in a new edition for the first time in 50 years with a preface and afterword about his association with the Beatles.

The Beatles in 1965-best original songs of John Lennon "65 including" help! "& "In My Life"

While all the songs that he wrote John Lennon and/or Paul McCartney has been credited to Lennon/McCartney, the truth is that most of their songs were written primarily by one or the other. What follows are the best songs (in my opinion) that the Beatles recorded in 1965, that are written by Lennon.

"Ticket To Ride" was a remarkable song to be released as a single in April 1965. Had a sound that was more "heavy" than were used to hearing people at that time.Had a new "emotional" that lacked primarily of former Beatles songs. printing when also called "non-commercial" even if it did go to # 1 in both the UK and United States (as did everything else that The Beatles released at this time.)

"You've got to hide your love Away" is another example of the growing maturity and expanding the Beatles sound (and Lennon in particular). This is probably the most "Bob Dylan song-esque" Beatles ever recorded, Dylan was obviously a huge influence on Lennon. This was a two-way street. While the Beatles were heavily influenced by Dylan lyricism and in seeking a more acoustic sound "," Dylan was influenced by the Beatles to pick up the guitar, in order to bring the rock folk (ie: "folk rock".)

"Help!" Of course, was the title track for the album and film with the same name. You are noticing a pattern with these songs? Lennon was exploring the darker "side" of things. While the music of this song is pretty uptempo and very engaging, the lyrics to tell the story of another. Originally Lennon this pictured is a slower song more emotional, but it was accelerated during registration to make it more "commercial".

"Norwegian Wood" continues the introspective songs "Strip". This is a brilliant song, one of the best of Lennon. But it is also memorable for the contribution of George Harrison (introducing the sitar in Western pop music).

"In My Life" is definitely one of the most classic Beatles songs.Everything about it from is beautifully simple guitar riff, for his poetic lyrics, memorable is the melody is perfect. There was some disagreement over the years to which extent Paul McCartney was involved in writing the melody for this song.Lennon said that Paul helped with the melody while McCartney said that he wrote the entire melody (setting words of John basically music.)

"Nowhere Man" continues the pattern now very evident of 1965 songs John Lennon. He was writing a lot of "very down" songs at the moment. separating his songs by the Beatles songs as a whole really makes this clear. Furthermore, it is surprising how many songs absolutely classic wrote in 1965. These are all not only good songs but really great classic songs.

"Girl" has always been one of my favorites. I love the backup vocals for "tit-tit-for tit-for" and breathing in the sound (definitely not like Tay Zonday.)And certainly fits in with the theme of ' 65 songs Lennon as lyrics can be as downcast this whole bunch.

All these songs are included in both the The Beatles Remastered Box set.

Beatles Remastered-Abbey Road, recorded in 1969 sounds like a performance 2009!

With the exception of compilation of 2000 and Let It Be Naked in 2003, fans have listened to the Beatles as they were put on CD in 1987. It is now 22 years ago. Since then the audio technology has improved in leaps and bounds.

If you're thinking you've heard the Beatles songs hundreds and hundreds of times, I say unto you that the remastered CD are the closest thing to the new music Beatle how come we're going to live. The first song "Come Together" has many "new" sounds that are actually sounds that were on the original recordings but they were separate and distinct, as they are now remastered CD

For these new songs remastered, engineers are returned to the original tapes that has mastered by George Martin. Have dug for all audio details of individual sounds. The quality of Beatles recordings were mostly very meticulous. George Martin in my estimation is the Fifth Beatle. Four Beatles in the recording studio and la quinta (George Martin) was on the stand. His contribution to their sound, their creative efforts and their overall success is undeniable. His techniques for registration has been nothing short of brilliant.

New life was breathed into music that really showed timeless. This is worth the investment to replace older versions? Absolutely!

Abbey Road is the album U.S. XVII and the eleventh album U.K. released. Even if you Let It be was the last album released before the dissolution of the Beatles, Abbey Road in 1970 was the last album that started successfully by the band before they broke up. Let It Be was almost finished, when he started Abbey Road, and after the release of Abbey Road, the Beatles came back and completed overdubs assorted and a couple of recordings before finally releasing "let it be. Basically, even if you technically "let it be the last album ever released by the Beatles, Abbey Road is their true swan song. Is their true final goodbye.

Abbey Road has two faces are fundamentally different in style. The first side is full of individual songs. The second part is a suite of compositions that Lennon and McCartney wrote that are combined together in a melody complex. I think the two side of Abbey Road is what makes it one of the greatest albums of all time. Two Side has songs that, if we examine the individual songs are just incomplete and fragmented songs. The suite starts with McCartney composition "you never Give Me Your Money", which is the only song that I would consider complete in itself. Continues with "Sun King", "Mean Mr. mustard" and "Polythene Pam". All three of these songs were composed by John Lennon. The suite continues with McCartney wrote songs "" She Came in through the bathroom window, "Golden slumbers", "Carry That Weight" and "end". The song "Carry That Weight" is part of the song "you never Give Me Your Money" into it. Use the song as the bridge for "Carry That Weight" and then goes back to the song original and continues to "Finish". In my opinion, one of the most beautiful pieces of music of the Beatles have ever done is at the end of the song "the end". Has the lyrics, "And in the end, is equal to the love that make the love that you take". These are the last in the final song lyrics on the last Beatles album that have ever produced. It is a fitting finale for the largest group I've ever heard. The way that the producer George Martin and Paul McCartney compile these collection shows that the Beatles (more George Martin), when together are bigger than any of them could ever be individually.

Abbey Road appointed 14 greatest albums of all time by Rolling Stone magazine. I personally think that is better than some other Beatles album that rank higher in the list of Rolling Stones. In particular of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, that you rank at # 1 on the list. I think that Abbey Road is better in many ways. Abbey Road has three part harmonies more than any other album the Beatles recorded. The biggest aspect that distinguishes itself from other Beatles album is the medley of Abbey Road, suite of songs that side 2 of the album. Nobody in the world has ever been able to play anything like it. Nobody will ever be. If you followed the fab four after the split, you know that with few exceptions the magic that was so special on most Beatles music for the most part was not present in the music of John, Paul, George and Ringo in their individual careers after the Beatles. Of course, had a spell as the Beatles that was greater than their individual talents. Collectively their was a creative synergy that transform their individual gifts into something that had a large part in transforming the culture of their day.

YouTube has helped the role of John Lennon Aaron Johnson Land

After making a splash as the wannabe nerdy superhero worship hit film Kick Ass, Aaron Johnson has once again the tongues wagging in Hollywood for her portrait of John Lennon in NOWHERE BOY. Cinemovie sat down with the sexy star of NOWHERE BOY to talk about the difficulty in reproducing the famous Beatles because he stays away from characters close to his personality, and as You Tube helped him get the role.

For the acquisition of adolescence in 50s Liverpool John Lennon, the actor NOWHERE BOY turned to biographies, documentaries, interviews and provide for famous mannerisms Lennon and accent, but the hardest part of the game iconic founder member of the Beatles was learning to play guitar and sing. Before winning the role, the English actor wasn't sure he could pull off the musical aspect of the role. "The only thing holding me back was that couldn't play," but he "immersed in it rather naively" regardless, he said.

When calling casting came, he was shooting Kick Ass in London playing a nerd of American comics. With only one day to prepare for your hearing, the Kick Ass star frantically searched YouTube for videos of Lennon while on his lunch break from filming the comic adaptation. He picked up quickly the accent and personality, but he was concerned about his gaze was not fair to the younger Lennon. Johnson joked his "big bushy hair" Kick Ass were nothing like Lennon 50s look so he improvised and raddrizzava you back.

NOWHERE BOY Director that Sam Taylor-Wood put out a call for musicians to the films of John Lennon, so she worried about the American actor playing a character named Kick Ass would not be the right person for the role of singer Imagine. "I didn't have any hope at all," according to the first feature film director. Once you have opened the door, she said, she knew she had found her Lennon. Was so impressed with his "versatility" in the transition from an action movie with a dramatic role to prepare "timeless" that she knew that he could take it to another level with adequate preparation.

Shifting roles by Dave Lizewski, the "comic book nerdy American" as he describes Johnson, the cocky, troubled John Lennon is now a blur Johnson but he remembered a few scenes difficult. As Lennon in NOWHERE BOY, Johnson has faced much emotional scenes with such great intensity that it would be empty every actor, but admits that it was "funny" in relation to musical scenes. For those scenes, became very "nervous" depicting Lennon as the man in front of The Quarrymen, Lennon first band. "I have been more aware of music stuff" he told the plaintiff 20 years of his time on set and felt some of his musical performances not "feel 100%". It was hard on himself, during those scenes, because he'd get that part of the life of John Lennon's "right".

Play the character of John Lennon was a stretch for Aaron Johnson, who don't have much in common with the famous resident of Liverpool. Playing characters unlike him is the main attraction in the choice of roles. "I'm constantly trying to find something that is different from me. Some actors, he says, "kind of doing the same thing again, again and again. This is not for me "

A role that he wouldn't mind, though, is reprising his alter ego Kick Ass. In September, Director Matthew Vaughn Kick Ass, which is currently directing X:Men: first class, confirmed to MTV a sequel titled Kick Ass 2: Balls to the Wall is in the works. Although Johnson says that hasn't received the official word for the sequel, he would be "happy" meet again.

Kick Ass may have put Aaron Johnson on map Hollywood but his performance endearing in NOWHERE BOY will prove that he is definitely worthy of State list.

NOWHERE BOY opens in select theatres on 8 October.

Get with a Little Help From My Friends

They represent a world deep within us, a world that cannot be born probably until they arrive, and only after its meeting may be born a new world. A person who walks in when the rest of the world walks and someone who is there for you, when they would be rather somewhere else. They are simply only other people who know the songs to your heart and can sing to you when you're in a loss of words. Are the people who still believe in you, when you have ceased to believe in yourself, and are our true friends.

We are all familiar with John Lennon, and his famous quote "get with a little help from my friends." He wasn't saying this to make his song more that was telling, because it was what he felt, and as he saw his friends. Always remember that two people can talk together under one roof for years and never really met. But the other two on the first intervention are old friends. Friends are the most important ingredient in life, and I don't know who could get without friends. There would never someone speak or hang out with, laughing with or fight with. What would be the fun in that?

It is clear that a better part of a person's life consists of his friends, if you demote a Sunday afternoon with them or rebuilding a trailer at night. They are people who know everything there is perhaps know about you, and yet willing to love you anyway. They overlook defects and actions and realize that you're just a human being. Should always be able to trust your friends, because they are always forced to examine, encourage and grow. A friend will not settle for simple success, treat as needed and help you become what you are capable of being. A true friend is not there to give another piece of mind, so you have to do with another, but it helps to combine a mind in two bodies.

Friends should be seen as a God to take care of us, or an early Christmas gift. People whom you can call at 4 a.m. that don't ignore your phone call, are true friends. Pain always can take care of itself, but to enjoy the full value of joy, one must have someone to share it with. It is often too late in life that many of us learn that we must take a friend unjudged, accepted and trusted until the end. A best friend is one who can always bring out the best of you and will never decrease is no matter how big the favor. And we must remember that friendship is always a sweet responsibility and never an opportunity. And even if we have deserved our enemies, there is no doubt that you're never deserved friends.

A true friend can be very difficult to find and if you find should be the Guide on how the paper glue. Can repair our own wounds and we pick up when we fall. They shall continue to fight alongside us and fight against us when we step out line. These people can never be replaced and should be cherished dear up the nut laying aside. They are the ones who would give their hearts and souls to bring a smile to our faces and people that we must always seek advice. They are our true friends and people who would be willing to die for us that last breath of fresh air.

30 years since John Lennon was murdered!

For those who do not know to John Lennon, a brief scenario (John Winston Lennon), 09 October 1940-08 December 1980. Born in Liverpool, England John was a member of the Beatles, a prolific composer and also had a solo career. Was shot and killed as he entered his apartment in New York. He was 40.

It's hard to believe that was 30 years after one of the signals of light shined on our conscience, and our world was off. John Lennon has touched the lives of many people with his music, his strong opinions about peace and war. He was willing to expose all parts himself good and not so good. Yet remained faithful to himself.

I was twelve years old when the Beatles came to America, and I was immediately drawn to the humor of John Lennon. He showed his intelligence in any interview. The music of the Beatles at that time was magical, and certainly lit a fire under me that isn't off to this day. I was lucky enough to see the Beatles perform live three times Thankfully I was next to the last time I saw them, and was indescribable.

John has always been the most outspoken and, at some point in 1966 had been sentenced in Italy due to stating that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus. Wasn't saying they were greater than Jesus, but only that their popularity extended farther. At that time was the truth. Since then he has received death threats and I was told that he would be assassinated during their tour of USA 1966. This is one of the main reasons for which the Beatles stopped performing live.

Fame was a great pressure on John, and looked for other avenues to explore after conquering the world. Discovered the LSD and used to open up to her creativity. From there he discovered the meditation and went to India to practice and learn from a master. He met Yoko Ono and fell in love, although both were married at the time. He felt Yoko was his soul mate, and have been together until the end of his life.

Have started a movement for peace and love. Got a new recognition worldwide for his peace movement and its position against all wars. He expressed his views through his music and many people have paid attention. His goal was to have people get along and follow the path of love and peace. For once John went into seclusion, but in 1980 he was making a comeback with a new album, the first in five years and ready to return to his many causes.

Unfortunately there was a man who was jealous of John fame and success and decided that he could gain fame killed John Lennon. And on a cold December night has done the unthinkable.

I was driving in my car when I heard the announcement of his death on the radio; It was surreal. I was having a nightmare? Continued changing radio channels, and the news was the same that someone had killed John cold-blooded. How could John Lennon killed senselessly? The irony of his violent death shocked the world. This man, who had delivered so many messages of love and peace, had been taken in a manner so violent; was simply unthinkable.

Rather than dwell on his murder, I want to remember everything he has done in his brief 40 years. He definitely kept me aware of what was happening in the world through his music and his peaceful demonstrations. He gave voice to the conscience that so many were feeling and unable to find words or ways of expressing. John did.

This year contains so many memories of John, because he would have turned 70 years and 30 years after his death. Ironically was killed the birthday of Jim Morrison, singer, songwriter and poet of The Doors, if he would live would be 67 years this year. So many brilliant men are gone, but their words and live music.

Every year new people discover John Lennon for the first time. In Havana, Cuba, have a wonderful bronze statue of John Lennon casually sitting on a park bench, as if he is observing those who pass. Recently a teenager in Dominican Republic asked me if I knew it was John Lennon. I just had to smile at this issue.

Worldwide, he is loved. His legacy will never be forgotten.

In my life by the Beatles
"There are places that I remember
All my life although some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places had their moments
With friends and lovers still I can remember
Some are dead and some live
In my life I loved everyone. "
