In this day and age it's rare for a career in rock n ' roll lasts longer than a couple of years, much less than a decade. Of course there are certain acts that have lasted years through fluctuations of styles and genres of ever-changing mode of music. Few, however, can even come close to boast of a career that has spanned three decades, how can Sir Paul McCartney.
Most of all is that goes beyond this, because the three decades we are talking about are just from his solo career.Of course we can't forget the thirteen years before while he shot with a small group of little-known as the Beatles. may have heard of them.
Paul began his solo career, releasing his first album, "McCartney" two weeks before the Beatles released their latest album "Abbey Road". first solo album had a warm welcome from fans, that so he went to release a second album in 1971 called "Ram".On this, has included the new wife Linda McCartney who might be on tour together.
After "Ram", started the Group super Wings, with his wife Linda McCartney and Moody Blues guitarist Denny Laine and drummer Denny Seiwell. The band started an unexpected in 1972 tour throughout Europe in small venues and various British University Auditorium.
First live show of ali was unannounced and uninvited-and for students at the University of Nottingham on 9 February 1972. Paul and Linda, their children, all dogs bandwidth and pet drove North from London in a van, heading for the city and asking passers-by if their cities had a University.
"Our first stop, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, said no," said Paul, "Nottingham said yes."
The price of entry to the first exhibition of Wings-lunchtime in Nottingham students Union Hall-was 50 p on port. Ali-Paul, Linda, drummer Denny Seiwell and guitarists Denny Laine and Henry McCullough, received a scholarship p 50 pieces, which were distributed between the band later in the back of the van.
For their first UK tour in 1972, Wings established with any promoter, no advance or advertising on the road, not places booked and no Hotel booked. hotels were called at the last minute.
From there, McCartney seemed to regain the bug touring and started production of the album and tour with Wings almost every year to year and a half through the 1979. These include UK tour 1973, 1975-1976 World tour & UK tour 1979. the last ever Ali concert was at Hammersmith Odeon England 29 December 1979 and was a benefit concert for the people of Kampuchea.
Ali were also due to a tour of Japan in 1980, but unfortunately Paul was arrested and imprisoned in Japan for running marijuana and the tour was cancelled. This was also the end of the wings
In the 1980s again precisely McCartney risked and registered "McCartney II," where, just like in his first self-titled album, played every tool on the album himself.
One thing that did change for McCartney during the year was his ambition on tour-following the murder of his friend and band mate John Lennon Beatles on 9 December 1980.
Didn't want to tour followed this tragic event and did not live up to play again until 1985. in an interview with Playboy magazine in 1984, McCartney revealed that it was because he feared that he would be killed.
After appeared at Live Aid in 1985, he got the bug Tour and although it wasn't until 1989 she made her 1st live concerts for members of the Fan Club has kept right on going, recording and touring right in the 1990s with two live album in 1990 and 1993, and venturing into classical music that decade itself.
In the new millennium, McCartney met world tours from 2002 through to 2005, demonstrating once again himself as one of the most prolific musicians on the planet. in 2006 the rapper JayZ and rock band Linkin Park to the Grammy Awards, performing "Yesterday" in honour of the death of Coretta Scott King.
64 age this year, who knows what will come out of Sir McCartney later, but you can be sure that he not be settled anytime soon.
